leaving Bath on the A36 toward Warminster, North Road rises to the right alongside The Bath Spa Hotel. Climb the hill and after approximately 600 yards the driveway to Bath Golf Club is on the left.

Bath Golf Club, established in 1880, has one of England's oldest and finest inland courses. The Club was formed with much assistance from officials of the Westward Ho! Golf Club which was one of only five clubs in existence, in England, at the end of 1879. Bath Golf Club therefore lays claim to being the sixth golf club to be formed in this country.
Laid out around 'Hampton Down', the course occupies a prominent position on one of Bath's beautiful surrounding hills. In the 1880's they knew how to create a challenge using the natural contours of a hilltop location steeped in history with stunning views that, on a clear day, stretch to the Welsh beacons.
